Mitchel Brooks Britt

Mitchel Brooks Britt, 81, of Clarkton passed away peacefully on Monday, July 21, 2025, while at Premier Living in Lake Waccamaw. He was born and raised in Bladen County on September 6, 1943, son of the late Shafford Britt and Anice Thompson Britt. 

Mitchel was the owner and operator of Mitchel's Hair Care in the town of Clarkton for 30 plus years. He was passionate about music, art, antique cars and spending time with family and friends. Mitchel was known by the community for his genuine personality and his dedication to his customers. He will be dearly missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing him. 

Left to cherish his memory are his beloved sisters, Diane Britt of Wilmington and Andrea Beck of Winnabow. nephews, Jeff Britt ( Angela), Johnny Beck: nieces, April Jones (Jeff Johnson), Kim Chapman, and Karen Euverard (Gary).   

A Celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at 2:00pm at Shady Grove Baptist Church with a reception to follow in the fellowship hall.
