Nancy Beard

Nancy Katherine Blackburn Beard, 72, passed away on Wednesday, December 30, 2015. She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Eugenia Blackburn; her husband, Vernon Beard; grandson, Jason Tatum; and several sisters and a brother. She is survived by her son, Vernon Beard of Elizabethtown; daughters, Kathy Baker and husband Stewart of Elizabethtown, and Brenda Tatum and husband Charles of Elizabethtown; brother, Glenn Blackburn; seven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 2, 2016 from 10:30 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. at Clarkton United Methodist Church. The funeral service will be held at Clarkton United Methodist Church at 12:00 p.m. following visitation with the Rev. Shannon Ross and Rev. Kincy Barrow officiating. Burial will follow at White's Creek Baptist Church, Clarkton, NC.
