Neill Monroe Singletary II

Neill Monroe Singletary ll, 79, passed away peacefully at his home on November 25, 2025. Born in New Hanover County, he was the son of the late Rupert Bridger Singletary and Sarah Margaret Singletary.

Neill dedicated 25 years of service to the North Carolina Highway Patrol, where he built a reputation for professionalism, integrity, and unwavering commitment to public safety. After retiring, he continued to serve communities across North Carolina for many years by certifying radars. Through that work, he touched lives all over the state, always showing up with humility, compassion, and a sincere desire to help others.

A devoted husband, Neill is survived by his loving wife, Faye Singletary, his three children, Laura (Jacque), Chip (Tammy), and Kate, and his three grandchildren, Bridger, Maggie, and Allie, who were the light of his life.

Neill was a lifelong ham radio operator, a passion that connected him with people near and far. He was also a member of Clarkton Presbyterian Church and a man of quiet faith and steady character. His deep love for music led him to spend much of his life playing in bands, sharing joy wherever he went.

Known for his generosity, gentle humor, and humble spirit, Neill leaves behind a legacy of service, kindness, and genuine care for others. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and the many communities he faithfully served.
