Mrs. Patricia Quinn Gauvine, 89, of DeLand, Florida, was called home to the Lord on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, surrounded by her loving family in Kelly, North Carolina. A devout Catholic, her life was a beautiful reflection of Christ’s love, defined by her unwavering faith, selflessness, and deep devotion to her family.
Born in Thompsonville, Connecticut, to Frances Quinn and Florence Roberts Quinn, Patricia lived a life rooted in prayer and service. She was a retired Human Resources professional and a longtime, active parishioner at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in DeLand, Florida, where she served as a Eucharistic minister, sang in the choir, and offered comfort to others through the Bereavement Ministry. Her faith was not just something she practiced on Sundays, but the foundation of how she lived every day—offering grace, hospitality, and boundless love to everyone she met.
Above all, Patricia’s greatest joy was her family. She was the beloved matriarch who created a warm, welcoming home filled with family dinners, holiday gatherings, and the peace of a prayer-filled home. She leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and deep spiritual faith that will continue to guide her family for generations.
She is reunited in Heaven with her loving husband of 47 years, Ronald J. Gauvine, Sr.; her cherished son, Ronald J. Gauvine, Jr.; and her brothers, Phillip Quinn and Michael Quinn.
She leaves behind her devoted daughters, Gail Peck (Gary) of Kelly, NC, and Carrie St. John (Paul) of Tampa, FL; her adored grandchildren, Lisa Hindle (Karl), Lori Anders (David), Jesse St. John (Maddy), and Taylor Walker (Stephanie); her great-grandchildren, Christian Anders, Jared Anders, Kasey Hindle (Jennifer), and Anessa Anders; and her beloved sister-in-law, Irene Quinn, as well as a wealth of dear friends.
The family will hold a service, to be announced at a later date, in her hometown of DeLand, Florida, where her life will be celebrated. She will be laid to rest at Oakdale Cemetery, where she will reunite in eternal peace with her beloved husband, son, and parents.
