Phillip Roof

Phillip "Roger" Roof Sr., 69, passed away at his home Monday morning, April 17th in White Lake after a four year battle with cancer. He was born December 13, 1947 in Greensboro, North Carolina. He was a volunteer firefighter at Fire District 14 for twenty years and retired from Guilford County Schools. He is survived by his wife of fifty years Brenda Rouse Roof and his three sons: Phil Roof and wife Tracy, Brian Roof and girlfriend, Christine Miller, Robert Roof and wife Elizabeth. He has four grandchildren: Madelyn, Rebekah, Chance, and Logan. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Mr. and Mrs. Vollie Bud and his parents: Mr. and Mrs. R.L. Roof.

Phillip was a clever man and a jack of all trades. He was a good husband, father, and grandfather who loved his family dearly.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at Windsor United Methodist Church at 7:30pm. Visitation will be held at the church prior to the service from 6:00pm to 7:30pm. Rev. Brock Meyer and Rev. Karen Davis will be officiating service. Another service will held at Browns Wesleyan Church 4355 High Rock Rd Gibsonville, NC 27249 on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at 5:30pm.
