Phyllis Elaine Priest Williams, 72, of Bladenboro entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, August 24, 2011. She was born in Bladen County on June 20, 1939 to the late Preston Evans and Mavis Davis Priest.
Phyllis is survived by her husband, Gene Williams of the home; two sons, Gregory McCollum of Bladenboro and Anthony McCollum of Castle Hayne; three daughters, Pam Cain of Bladenboro, Melody Gause of Abbottsburg and Jill Thornton of Memphis, TN; three brothers, Carlton and Larry Priest of Clarkton and Gilbert Priest of Kinston; two sisters, Betsy Brisson of Dublin and Sharon (Jenny) Gibson of Clarkton; twelve grandchildren, Amelia Herring, Billy Cain, Matthew Gause, Nicole Gause Walters, Alison McCollum, Morgan McCollum, Bryan McCollum, Jessica McCollum, Robert Taylor, Afton Smith, Blaire Thornton and Ashley Thornton; six great grandchildren, Avery Cain, Abigail Herring, Raven Taylor, Jacob Taylor, Bella Smith and Katie Branch.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, August 26, 2011 at 5:00 pm at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home with Rev. Bruce Cannon and Rev. Terry Hunt officiating. Burial will be at McKinnon Cemetery.
The family will receive at the home 211 Edwards Avenue, Bladenboro and also, at the home of Pam & Curtis Cain, 202 Grace Street, Pine Ridge, Bladenboro.
