Rebecca Porter

Rebecca Merritt Porter, 85, of Kelly, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, December 7, 2011.



She is survived by one son, Jimmy Long Porter and wife, Lou Ann, of Burgaw; and one daughter Ann Porter Gaddis and husband, Robert, of Kelly; four brothers: Edwin Merritt and wife, Brenda of Wallace; "Pitt" Herndon Long Merritt, Jr. and wife, Marie, of Currie; Billy Ray Merritt and wife, Catherine, of Reidsville; and Alton Gray Merritt and wife, Penny, of California; a sister, Rachel Ann Williamson and husband, Wiley of Goldsboro; two grandchildren, Justin L. Porter and Mark McAfoose.



She is preceded in death by her husband, James J. Porter.



The service will be 11:00am, Saturday, December 10, at Centerville Baptist Church, Kelly, with Rev. Ryan Carter and Rev. Teddy Lawson officiating. Visitation will follow in the fellowship hall. Burial will follow at Garden of Memories at Kelly.
