Robert Lynn Caulder, Sr., a beloved member of his community, passed away at his home on February 24, 2026, at the age of 65, in Tar Heel, North Carolina. Born on December 14, 1960, in Elizabethtown, North Carolina.
Robert was a family man at heart, cherished for his warmth and love. He is survived by his daughter Lindsey Caulder-Evans and her husband Casey, and his son Robert Lynn Caulder, Jr. He will also be greatly missed by his sisters Brenda Caulder-Montoya and her husband Trankie, and Linda Smith and husband Jeff. His legacy lives on through his grandchildren, including Hannah Caulder, Jacob Caulder, Nevaeh Caulder, Braylynn Caulder, Serenity Evans, and Gracey Evans; his great-grandchildren, Rufty Packer, Sofia Landreth and Ariel Landreth; and a multitude of cousins, extended family members, and friends. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of over 40 years, Donna Caulder, along with his parents, Barbara Jean Long Caulder and Robert Caulder, and an infant child.
Those who knew Robert understood his passions; he found joy in the simplicity of life through hobbies such as hunting, fishing, and spending cherished time with his grand-youngins. He had a special fondness for watching classic westerns like Gunsmoke, Bonanza, and The Rifleman. His evening rides were particularly dear to him, as they provided a calming end to the day, allowing him to explore familiar places with a sense of refreshed peace.
Robert, who always dreamed of giving back, often mentioned that if he won the lottery, he would donate to St. Jude's Children's Hospital. Memorial contributions in his name would serve as a fitting tribute to his generous spirit.
Robert Lynn Caulder, Sr. will be remembered for his unwavering love for family, his dedication to his work, and the simple pleasures that brought him joy. His memory will be honored during visitation and funeral services held at the Bladenboro Chapel of Bladen-Gaskins on March 1, 2026, where friends and family will gather to celebrate a life well-lived. The visitation will commence at 2 PM, followed by the funeral service at 3 PM. Burial will follow the Service in the Allen Cemetery located near 2071 Bethel Church Road, in Tar Heel, North Carolina.
