Robert Warren Long, 88, of Bladenboro passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, August 8, 2025. He was born in Wayne County the son of the late Buster Long and Louise Greene Long on October 30, 1936. He enjoyed working and living in White Lake, North Carolina before moving to Bladenboro.

He was a simple man who enjoyed simple pleasures. He was always in his happy place when spending time outdoors whether he was hunting, mowing grass, riding the tractor or tending his garden. He enjoyed trips to the coast to go fishing and spending time with his family and his dog, Winnie.

He was a loving husband to his late wives, Elaine Becker Long and Katherine Hall Long, proud father to his children, Robert Long (Nancy) of Tennessee, Rhonda Jenkins (Glenn) of Jacksonville, Michelle Spell (Allen) of Clement, Carolyn Manikas of Bladenboro, and David Hord (Shannon) of Waxhaw, and grandfather to his 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He also leaves behind his special friends Toni and Buddy Strickland of White Lake.

Per his request, there are no services scheduled at this time. His family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the staff of Liberty Hospice Care, Caregiver Camryn Horton, Interim Home Health caregivers, April Martin and Ruthie Bellamy for all the care and support given during his illness.
