Ross Lewis Sr.

Edward Ross Lewis Sr., of Bladenboro passed away peacefully at their summer home surrounded by family on Monday, October 20, 2025, at the age of 80. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Berry Lewis and Erlene Baxley Lewis and his daughter, Jenny Lewis Britt.

Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 56 years, Penny Lewis of the home, sons, Ross Lewis Jr. of White Lake and Berry Lewis of Bladenboro, six grandchildren Taylor Lewis, Colin Britt, Khloe Lewis, Blake Britt, Colby Lewis, and Cara Beth Smith, one great grandchild, Nora Blake Lewis, and one brother-in-law Fred Langston.

Ross grew up in the town of Bladenboro and attended NC State University where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in animal science. He came back to his hometown to work the land and make a life as a North Carolina Farmer. He was at home in the fields and in the woods where he spent time working, hunting and fishing. When not working, you could find him watching all sports of his beloved Wolfpack. Ross will always be remembered for his dedication and love to both his family and his farm.

Per his request, the family will hold a private service.
