Ruth Joan Steiger Rogers

Ruth Steiger Rogers, 92, of Elizabethtown, N.C. passed away peacefully Tuesday, January 6, 2026. Ruth was born in Delavan, Illinois.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George Eugene "Gene" Rogers, her parents Mr. and Mrs. Howard Steiger, and her siblings of Illinois. 

Ruth is survived by her daughters Susan Rogers of Sunset Beach, N.C., and Jeannie Taylor and husband John E. Taylor of Mount Pleasant, S.C., and her grandson Jared Taylor of Charlotte, N.C. Her family also included beloved nieces and nephews of Florida and Illinois, and their spouses and children. 

Ruth was affectionately referred to as "Sister" by her siblings. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and was an active member of the church. Ruth cherished the time she spent with her grandson. She was a devoted mother with unwavering love for her family and will be dearly missed. 

A visitation will be held from 1-1:45 pm on Wednesday, January 14, 2023 at Trinity Methodist Church in Elizabethtown, N.C. followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 2:00 pm. Burial will be at Prairie Rest Cemetery in Delavan, Illinois.
