Stella Burns

Stella Dowless Burns, age 89 of Elizabethtown, died Tuesday, November 11, 2014. She is preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Myrtle Hester Dowless; husband , Alfred Burns; a daughter, Elsie Fay Burns; five brothers and five sisters. She is survived by her sons, Alfred Burns of Georgia and Arnold Burns of West End; daughters, Juanita Clark of Durham, Josephine Davis of Bladenboro, and Shirley Hester of Elizabethtown; a sister, Myrtle Croome of Bladenboro; fourteen grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home. Services will be conducted on Thursday, November 13, 2014 at Bladen-Gaskins Chapel at 1:00 p.m. officiated by Pastor Don Waterhouse. Burial will follow in the Allen Cemetery.
