Thelma Dove Kay

Thelma Elizabeth Hester Dove Kay, 92, of Bladenboro, passed away on Monday, May 27, 2019. She was preceded in death by her parents: Adron and Mary Hester; husbands: Edwin Dove, Rev. Charles Kay; son: Brandon Ray Dove; son - in-law Herbert James Matheson. Thelma is survived by two sons: Franklin Edward Dove (Annis) of Charlotte, Glenn Dove (Janie) of Bladenboro; two daughters: Marcia Gail Matheson of Horseshoe, Edwina McLamb (Danny) of Holly Ridge; stepdaughter: Betsy Anders (Mark) of Salisbury; 11 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and seven great, great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at 1pm on Thursday, May 30th at Zion Hill Baptist Church with a funeral at 2pm. Rev. Danny McLamb and Rev. Ronald Hester will be officiating service. Burial will take place on Saturday, June 1, 2019 in the Little River Baptist Church Cemetery in Penrose, NC.
