Thomas Butler

Thomas Vernon Butler, age 74, of Marion NC, died Wednesday, November 23, 2011 in Elizabethtown, NC.



He is survived by his mother, Daphne Butler of Elizabethtown; his wife Barbra M. Butler of Marion NC; sons, Gregory Thomas Butler Greenville SC, Jeffrey Louis Jamison of El Segundo CA, Charles Douglas Butler of Charleston SC; daughters, Angela J. Stukes of Florence SC, Anita Fay Hatfield of Manning SC, Jennifer J. Williams of Hawthorne CA; brother, Charles Patrick Butler of Elizabethtown; and eight grandchildren, Taylor Mizell Stukes, Joseph William Stukes, Hayley Marshall Hatfield; Adam Gregory Butler, Dawson Rivers Hatfield, Mary Alice Butler, Emily Lawson Williams, and Whitney Mizell Williams.



He is preceded in death by his father, Charles Vernon Butler; brother, Michael Herbert Butler; and former wife, Alice Burney Butler.



The family received friends on Saturday, November 26, 2011 from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2011 at 11:00 am in the Terrence Hall at Biltmore Baptist Church, Asheville, NC his home church.
