Thomas Wilson

Thomas " Gene" Wilson, 83 of Clarkton passed away on Monday, March 30, 2015. He was born on October 3, 1931 to the late Thomas and Doreatha Edwards Wilson. Gene is preceded in death by his parents; son, Thomas Ray Wilson, two brothers, and five sisters.

Mr. Wilson sang in the Community Trio for 12 years. and also ran the Clarkton Gulf Station for 32 years with his wife by his side. He enjoyed spending time taking care of his animals and decorating his yard at Christmas. But most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.

The family will receive friends on Friday, April 3, 2015 from 12 o'clock noon until 1:45 pm at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home with the services following at 2:00pm. Rev. Larry Cain and Rev. John Guyton will officiate. Burial will follow in Brown Marsh Church Cemetery.

Gene is survived by his wife, Lois Mae Wilson of the home; two daughters, Brenda Wilson Bryan and husband Robert of Myrtle Beach, SC; Rhonda Wilson Jackson and husband Ray of Wilson; one granddaughter, McKenzie Jackson; four grandsons; Chandler and Chase Jackson; David Bryan and wife Annette; Jeffrey Bryan; great grandchildren, Michael Bryan and wife Becca and Marchall Bryan.
