Thurman Bass

Thurman Willis Bass, age 76, retired US Army Veteran of Bladenboro, passed away Tuesday, January 22, 2013.

He is predeceased by his parents; Herman and Lula Mae Bass, two children; Tony Bass and Gary Bass.

Mr. Bass is survived by his wife Berniece Bass, one son, Jeffery Bass and wife Sue of Leland, one daughter, Dinah Hester of Leland six grandchildren: Erica,Rebecca, Kevin, Jessica, Gary Jr., and Sandy; and seven great grandchildren: Timmy, Katie, Bryson, Colton, Zayden, Bentley, and Trinton.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 24, 2013 from 6 to 8 Pm at Bladen Gaskins Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. Funeral Services will be at Northside Baptist Church on Friday, January 25, at 2:00 PM with Rev. Bruce Cannon and Rev. Thomas Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Bladen Memorial Gardens.
