Walter Foss

Walter Lewis Foss, Jr., 86, of Elizabethtown, entered into eternal rest Sunday, September 2, 2007.

Mr. Foss was born in Duplin County to Walter and Emma Foss. He served in the United States Army during World War II. Mr. Foss also worked as an animal researcher for the United States Government.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Foss of the home; one son, Michael Lewis Foss and wife, Karrine, of Elizabethtown; one daughter, Yvonne Smith and husband, Ray, of Winterville; two grandchildren, Megan Foss of Elizabethtown, and Thomas Smith of Greenville; and one great grandchild, Thomas Blake Smith of Rocky Mount.

Visitation is planned for Tuesday, September 4, 2007 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Bladen Funeral Home. The funeral will be Wednesday, September 5, 2007 at 11:00 AM at Bladen Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. David Elks officiating. Burial will follow in Elizabethtown City Cemetery.
