Wanda Parnell

Wanda Smith Parnell, 61, of Bladenboro, NC went to be with her Heavenly Father Sunday, April 5, 2009 after a courageous battle with cancer.



She was predeceased by her grandparents, Perice & Olivia Smith and Harvey & Ruth Bullard of Roseboro, NC; her father, Leo Smith of Roseboro, NC, her mother Mittline Cartrette and stepfather, John Cartrette of Bladenboro;and a brother, Mervin R. Smith of Fayetteville.



Mrs. Parnell is survived by her husband, Bobby Dale Parnell, Sr. of the home; a daughter, Nicole Parnell-Boyd and husband, Jamey of Loris, SC; two sons, Sean E. Parnell of Asheville, NC and John Ashley Parnell of the home; a step-daughter Barbara Parnell Rollins and husband, Mark of Oak Island, NC; a brother Kensey Smith and wife Margaret of Roseboro, NC: a sister Gail Corcelius and husband, Gerald of Bladenboro; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.



A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at 6:00pm Tuesday, April 7, 2009 at Butters Baptist Church in Bladenboro. The family will receive friends immediately after the service.



Burial will be at 11:00am Wednesday, April 8, 2009 at Pinecrest Cemetery, Bladenboro, NC.
