Wendy Hester

Wendy Gooden Hester passed away on Friday, June 29, 2018 in South Carolina. She is survived by her parents: Bobby and Barbara Gooden of Bladenboro; life partner: Nicolas McColskey of Longs, SC; one daughter: Heather Dawn Canady of Wilmington; one sister: Felicia Stanley and husband Paul of Bladenboro.

Wendy cherished her family and lifetime companion, Nick. She enjoyed to read, travel, cook, and had a taste for all kinds of food. She also had a special love for frogs and turtles. Wendy was an energetic young lady with a persevering attitude on life and will be greatly missed.

The family will receive friends on Monday, July 2nd from 1-3pm at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home in Elizabethtown followed by a funeral service at 3pm. Rev. Jimmy Strole and Dr. Mack Roberts will officiate service. Burial will be held in the Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Bladenboro.
