Wesley Alford

Wesley Garland Alford, 71, of Elizabethtown, entered into rest Saturday, June 21, 2008.

Mr. Alford was born in Virginia to Robert and Gladys York Alford. He worked as an accountant.

He was predeceased by his parents Robert and Gladys Alford and one son, Joseph E. Scarborough.

Mr. Alford is survived by his wife, Bettie D. Alford of the home; four sons, Michael Alford and wife, Maria, Kenneth Alford, Douglas Alford, and Bryan Alford all of Newport News, Virginia; one half-brother, John Kennard of San Diego, California; one sister, Nancy Hoyle of Hampton, Virginia; and two grandchildren, Jonathan Alford and Heather Alford.

Visitation is planned for Monday, June 23, 2008 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. The funeral will be Tuesday, June 24, 2008 at 11:00 am at Wesley's Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Rusty Willis officiating. Burial will follow in the church's cemetery.
