William Bordeaux

William Travis Bordeaux, 85, of Morganton, NC passed away on Friday, May 31, 2019.

He was predeceased by his parents, Alston Bordeaux and Elena Suggs Bordeaux and siblings: Vestel, Billy, Murray, Alton, Richard, Ronald, Lawrence, Edna Davis, Iris Bebee and Carol Jolliffe. William leaves behind two brothers: Gordon Bordeaux of Wilmington and Robert Bordeaux (Jenny) of Florida; one sister, Mary Sue Newcomb (Richard) of Virginia and many nieces and nephews.

William was a very private person by nature. He had a passion for the woods and enjoyed planting trees. William attended school in Elizabethtown. He made a career as an electrician and worked in the Washington, DC area. His work took him to Cape Canaveral as well as many other places. William retired with 32 years of service with the Civil Service Department at the Pentagon.

A funeral service is planned for Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at 11:00 am at Bladen Gaskins Funeral Home Chapel in Elizabethtown. Burial will follow the services in the Bordeaux Cemetery in Elizabethtown. The family will receive friends following the services in the cemetery.
