William Bryan

Mr. William Zachary Bryan Jr., age 82 of Elizabethtown, passed away on Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at Bladen County Hospital. Mr. Bryan was a veteran of the US Navy. He also was employed by the NC DOT as a heavy equipment operator for 32 years. He is preceded in death by three sisters, Audrey Rivenbark, Marquerite Cain, Daphne Kinlaw.



Mr. Bryan is survived by his wife of 57 years Louise G. Bryan; two daughters, Sandy Cole and husband Hunt; Terry Hall and husband Dale, all of Elizabethtown; his sister, Alma Joyce Edge of Myrtle Beach; five grandchildren, Wesley Hall and wife Davida, Evan Hall and wife Laura, Meredith, Will and Kathryn Cole; three great grandchildren, Weslyn, Madelyn and Owen Hall; a special uncle, Danny "Gus" Bryan and a brother-in-law, Russell Grimes.



The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 28, 2012 at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 29, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Elizabethtown Baptist Church with Rev. Chris Carroll and Dr. David Elks officiating. Burial will follow in Elizabethtown Cemetery.
