William Robert "Billy" Kinlaw of Dublin, gained his Angel wings on Tuesday, May 13th 2025 at his home. Billy was the son of Cecil and Mary Kinlaw of White Oak North Carolina.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Hilda Hester Kinlaw of Dublin; son, Gary Kinlaw of Dublin; and one grandson, Colby Newman, "the light of his life".
He was preceded in death by son, Richard; daughter, Lisa; and three brothers, Tommy, Jimmy and Charles of White Oak, North Carolina.
He met his wife at a sporting event. They were married on August 2nd 1957 and shared 68 years together. Billy attended White Oak High School and later served four and a half years in the United States Navy. He also served his community, he was a member of the planning board, health board and was a member of the board of directors for the Bladen County Hospital. He loved softball and formed Kinlaw Insurance ball team. They won state championships during their career. He owned and operated Kinlaw insurance for many years, then Kinlaw Farms, LLC. Many friendships were established during all these endeavors and remained strong until today. Though his physical presence may be absent, his warmth, love and kindness he shared will continue to bless us for generations.
A Visitation with Family & Friends will be held at the Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home, Elizabethtown on Thursday, May 15, 2025 from 6 o'clock in the evening until 8 o'clock. The Funeral service will be held on Friday, May 16, 2025 at 1 o'clock in the afternoon at the First Baptist Church in Dublin, North Carolina with Pastors Jason Lee, Warren Hill and Tommy Knight officiating. Burial will follow the service in the Bladen Memorial Gardens in Elizabethtown.
