Zach Allen

Zachary Michael Allen, age 43, of Raleigh, NC, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, February 27, 2026.

Zach was born on June 16, 1982, at Rex Hospital in Raleigh to Jan Michael Allen and Sandra Porter Allen. He is survived by Lindsay Leary Allen, his loving wife of nearly fifteen years, and his treasured children, Walker Michael and Harper Ann. Zach was the cherished son of Mike and Sandy, the beloved brother of Elizabeth (John Bryant), and dear uncle to Laura Beth, Jack, and Henry. He was brother-in-law to Kimberly Leary Taylor and husband Scott and a devoted son-in-law to Bob and Ann Leary. Zach was blessed with a big, loving family of aunts, uncles, countless cousins, and a loyal and large group of childhood and college friends.

Zach grew up in Fuquay-Varina, NC, attending school there from kindergarten through high school. He attended North Carolina State University, earning undergraduate degrees in Agricultural and Environmental Technology in 2004 and Business Management in 2005. He went to work with EI Group, Inc. in Research Triangle Park in the Occupational Health Division. He returned to NCSU and obtained his Master of Business Administration degree in 2012. After graduate school, Zach joined Lord Corporation, now Parker-Lord Corporation, in Cary, NC, serving in many positions for around thirteen years. Zach's present position was Global Sales and Marketing Manager.

Zach was a man of many talents. A "project guy," he was able to fix or build just about anything, and he was always working to make his home a haven for his family. Zach was devoted in his role as a provider for his family, but he was also so many other things to so many different people. Zach was a grateful and faithful son to his mother and father, a loyal brother to Elizabeth, a cherished husband to Lindsay, and a remarkable father to Walker and Harper. Beyond that, he was a genuine friend and a good buddy. Zach was happiest when sharing time with his sweet Lindsay, Walker, and Harper.

The world was not ready to lose Zach. May the memory of his gentle spirit and the love and devotion that Zach shared throughout his life remind us that family and friends are the true treasures of our journey here together.

A service celebrating Zach's life will be held at First United Methodist Church in Cary on Friday, March 6th, at 3:30 p.m. and will be conducted by The Rev. Ben Alexander. Friends and family are invited for a time of fellowship and sharing in the fellowship hall immediately after the service. Burial will take place at a later date at the family cemetery in Kelly, North Carolina.

The family would like to give a heartfelt thanks to their dear friends and family, school community, church community, dance community, and Zach's employer for being so loving, generous, and compassionate during this time.

Zach loved Walker and Harper fiercely and worked so hard to provide for their Christian education at GRACE; therefore, the family requests that any donations be made to help continue funding their education. Donations made be made to https://gofund.me/5c6d24aa9.
